Day 2

Alright then, so let’s talk about how this morning went. I woke up at 4:20 am. I had a Kellogs Crisp snack. I went to the gym to work out. Now this was VERY hard for me. I forgot to charge my Ipod Touch so it only had like 20% of the battery for me to use. I was pissed! I was already tired because I wake up at night with the baby. She gets up once a night to eat so I didn’t get a full 8 hours sleep. As a matter of fact I probably slept 4 hours while still waking up every time she moved! So once I got to the gym I started working out - oh yeah, I was using the elliptical machine again. So I get my Ipod out and realize that I forgot my headphones... pissed, so now I have to listen on loudspeaker. Anyway, five minutes into the work out my Ipod Touch says that it's dying, being that I'm tired and sleepy I think to myself that if it dies I'm going to stop. I keep going and the music keeps playing... motivation. I get tired again so I say I will stop at 15 mintues. Fifteen minutes comes and a fast song that I like comes on, so I stay. Once the song is over I push myself to 20, 25, 30 minutes. During this whole time I'm promising my body that I will stop when the Ipod dies... well the freaking thing wouldn't die! So after I reached 35 mintues I decided to just finish the darn workout since I had to do 40 minutes. Then I came home, showered, dressed and had breakfast at 6:00 am. Today I had a 6 oz Light & Fit Dannon Vanilla yogurt. I ate that real slow because it was so good lol.









After I had some more V8 vegetable juice. This is the same drink I had yesterday.










Then I went to work. At 9:00 am I had another salad, this time it didn't taste so good. The lettuce tasted really bitter and I wasn't hungry enough to eat all of it. I also had a pear which I ate and loved! At 12:00 pm I was supposed to have baked chicken and chickpeas but I didn't re-cook the chickpeas so all I had was baked chicken. No seasoning but it wasn't bad because my mom cooked it with onion. Plus I was starving... when you're real hungry you eat anything! At 3:00 pm I was supposed to have a snack but things got real busy at work and I forgot.
Now here are when things went bad. When I came home I was dead tired. I fell asleep and forgot to make dinner which was supposed to be 1/2 cup of brown rice and and 2 servings of veggies. I woke up at 10:00 pm so I didn't even get to work out! So I just had a snack (Special K Vanilla Crisp) and took my butt back to bed after I put the baby to bed.

Day 1

So this morning I woke up at 9:00 am and ate a Special K Fruit Crisps. There are two bars in each package that equals 100 calories. I have strawberry... let me just say... HEAVEN! It tastes delicious! Hubby tries to steal some! Here's how they look:










Then I went to my gym in my buidling and worked out for 35 mintues. I used the elliptical machine - which looks like this:




It worked really well in keeping my heartrate up. I listened to my music on my Ipod Touch and that kept me motivated. Everytime I felt like stopping or slowing down I would put on a fast song or visualize a slimmer sexier me.
Then I came home showered and made breakfast at 10:00 am which consisted of 1/2 cup of egg beaters cooked with Natural Organics Olive Oil and had 1/2 a cup of V8. Hubby looked at my meal and made a face. He asked me where the bread was and I infomed him that I can't have bread. He said "Yea you're gonna shrink on this diet!" After that at 1:00 pm I had Meal 2 which was fruit so I chose to eat 10 cherries. Then at 4:00 pm I had Meal 3 which was a small salad. I didn't feel like cooking so I didn't put any veggies in it. I did put 3 tablespoons of low fat french dressing. Then at 6:00 pm I had a snack of low-fat Dannon yogurt.
I had to pick my mother up at 8:00 pm so I started cooking my 9:00 pm dinner. It was a little late but my schedule started out later (I should have woke up at 6:00 am). My dinner was 1 serving of steamed veggies and 1/2 cup chickpeas. This was the first time I cooked chickpeas and little did I know it takes a long time to soften  up! After picking up my mother I ate the dinner and was so upset at how hard the peas were that I just ate my veggies. I still had to feed my daughter while hubby put her to bed I had to clean up the kitchen so I missed out on my 9:30 pm workout. I did have a snack at 10:00 pm of Special K Cinnamon Pecan Bar which was 90 calories. I am allowed two snacks a day but I didn't feel too guilty since I lost calories in those darn chickpeas! I'll have to learn how to cook veggies to get this diet going well... any suggestions on books I can buy?

Grocery Shopping

So I went grocery shopping at Giant. I bought food and snacks that I'll be using to last me two weeks. The hardest part of the shopping was the vegetables. I bought lettuce, celery, carrots, & broccoli. That's it! I don't know how to cook nothing else. Don't thing I've tasted anything else except probably spinach. Looks like I'm going to have to purchase a veggie cookbook soon! I used the handheld scanner to prescan my food so that I could use the self checker. Well! At the end of my shopping I ended up spending $101.00!!! I didn't even buy all the items I usually buy when I shop with my husband! I only bought healthy food for me! My cart is usually filled and we only end up spending $90. THIS cart was 1/4 filled and I'm paying an arm and a leg! No wonder so many people are overweight! Is easier and cheaper to stay chunky! Well its for the better... I've posted a pic of what my cart looked like!

The Beginning

So I've pretty much been overweight my whole life. Not enough to look odd but enough to be one the chubby girls of the class/group. I intend to put it all out here so here goes. I am 5'2 and I weigh... Hold on let me get on the scale but before I do note I will weigh myself every Sunday. Okay so I weighed myself nekkid (naked lol) and I weigh a whopping 230.4 lbs. Most of my weight shows in my stomach. I have the kind of stomach that creates a pooch when I wear jeans below and above the belt. Next the weight shows in my thighs. When I was a teenager my legs were my best asset (guys would say my boobs but this is MY opinion!). I wore skirts all the time. Mini skirts and all! I want that back!
So I will be starting the Extreme Fat Smash Diet by Dr. Ian Smith on January 3, 2010. I'm hoping to eventually lose 70 lbs bringing me down to 160. The BMI scale says I should be no more than 140 I haven't been that small since before my teen years so I'll see what I look like. I mainly want to be a size 10-12. I don't know how much weight that will put me but we'll see. Off to bed so that I can mentally be ready to start this extreme diet. Pray for me!
